Disposal of batteries and Akkus With regard to the use of rechargable batteries or with the delivery of appliances that use disposable or rechargable btteries, we are obliged to point out the following according to battery regulations: Batteries may not be disposed of in the household rubbish. You are legally obliged as the end user to return used batteries. You may return used batteries free of charge to the point of sale or in the close proximity (for example in communal collection points or with traders). You may also send batteries back to us by post. Disposable or rechargable batteries that contain harmful substances are labelled with the symbol of a crossed-out wastebin, such as shown here. Close to the wastebin symbol there is the chemical description of the harmful substance. "CD" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead and "Hg" for quicksilver. " |
