This battery grip offers a better handling of the camera when you are holding the camera in a vertical position or using heavy lenses. Due to the antislip grip surface the camera lies safely in your hands.

The grip is equipped with a two-step release button that is easier to reach during portrait shots than the release button of the camera. In addition the battery grip has a thumb wheel and buttons for AF point selection and AE-/FE-lock.

The battery grip holds two LP-E8 rechargeable batteries and provides a higher energy capacity than single batteries. Therefore this battery grip is especially useful when you are planning long photo shootings.
