Description:
This battery grip offers a better handling of the camera during vertical shots or when you are using heavy lenses. The camera is easier to hold up and won't slide off your hands due to the anti-skid gripping area. The grip is equipped with a release button that is easier accessible in a vertical position than the release button of the camera.
The battery grip offers a very extended shooting time as it provides the camera with extra energy due to its battery compartment. The grip holds two BP-511A or six AA sized batteries. For the latter there is a removable battery magazine in the battery compartment.
The battery grip has the same controls as a camera. In addition to the two-stage release button it is equipped with a main dial, for example to adjust the shutter speed or the aperture. Furthermore it has a button for the AE-/FE-lock and a button for the AF point selection.
At the bottom side of the vertical grip is a tripod socket where you can mount a tripod or attach an eyelet for a wrist loop.
