Quenox Infrared Filter 720nm for digital and analogue Photography

Infrared filter for creative photos
This IR filter blocks visible light up to a wave length of 720nm. As the infrared range starts at 780nm, the filter lets some visible light through so that the photos show some natural colour. That way you obtain interesting false-colour effects.

Application:
Screw the filter on the lens.
Set the camera to ISO 400.
Take a picture of a flat green surface.
Use the picture for white balance.

Choose longer exposure times and use a tripod.

After that you can edit the picture with an image editing program.

Note:
Not all cameras are suitable for infrared photography. The suitability can be tested with an IR remote control. Point the remote control at the lens and press any button. If the diode of the remote control appears as a blinking white point on the display the camera can be used for infrared photography. Otherwise the camera has an IR blocking filter and needs longer exposures. Your lens is infrared suitable if it has a red point next to the distance scale.
