UV filter for a better image quality
The B+W UV filter blocks UV light and prevents abbreviations like a blue tint and fuzziness. Perfect for taking pictures in the mountains, the sea or anywhere else. The pictures are sharper and the colours stronger.

Usable as a protection filter
The UV filter is colour neutral and therefore can remain on the lens permanently. That way it protects the sensitive lens from aggressive effects like sea water or sand. Its function as a protection lens should not be underestimated as a filter is a lot cheaper than a lens.

High-quality MRC coating
The glass is absolutely plane-parallel and clear. In addition it has a high-quality Multi-Resistant-Coating. This coating makes the filter glass harder than normal glass and very resistant. Nevertheless there is almost no transmission loss. The glass is water- and dirt-repellent.

Robust brass frame - ultra thin
The filter has a CNC machined XS-Pro frame made of brass. The high quality standards of the manufacturer ensure that the frame is very robust and precise. B+W filters are very easy to screw on and off. The frame is very thin so that it can be used on wide-angle lenses without causing vignetting.
