This UV filter is specially designed for digital photography. It blocks ultraviolet light and in this way enhances colour neutrality, contrast as well as image sharpness. Due to it's outstanding transmission of 97%, the filter can stay permanently on the lens in order to protect it against impact, dirt and splash water.

Extremely thin filter glass with plane-parallel grinding and multicoating

The filter provides an extremely thin, hardened optical filter glass with plane-parallel grinding and extremely smooth polishing for lossless sharpness and maximum contrast. Eight layer scratch-resistant multicoating on both sides reduces reflections and avoids scattered light.

Sturdy slim frame made from aluminium

The filter has a sturdy frame made from anodized aluminum. The frame is very thin, so that the filter also can be used on wide angle lenses. Nonetheless the frame provides a front thread, so that you can mount an additional filter, a lens hood or a lens cap.
