Description:
The Marumi flash unit has a guide no. of 42 and is therefore more powerful than the built-in flash of a camera. Due to the higher light intensity and the larger distance to the lens the flash unit provides a better illumination than the camera flash.
The flash unit is completely (i-)TTL-compatible. The TTL metering measures the intensity of light in a scene. The camera uses this data to select the appropriate exposure. The flash unit can be controlled manually via an EV adjustment switch at the back. The exposure can be adjusted in steps of 1 EV. That is especially useful in difficult lighting conditions.
The flash unit has a zoom reflector that provides optimal flash coverage according to the focal legth of the lens. That way perfect illumination can be achieved. The zoom reflector is designed for focal lengths of 28mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm.
The flash unit is equipped with an IR assist beam that aids the camera in measuring the distance to the subject and helps focussing accurately. The flash head can be moved up and down and sideways.
