80mm focal length Lensbaby

The Edge 80 extends the application range of the Lensbaby lens family. Unlike the 50mm and 35mm focal length of Lensbaby, the Edge 80 is flat field of focus optic with sharpnes up to the edges. Inserted into a Lensbaby-body like the Lensbaby Composer it bekomes a tilt-optics:
• The focal plane in a photo can follow an object placed in the picture.
• The sharpnes can placed in the image that items appear miniaturized.

The focal length is optimally suited for portrait photography, opened by the tilt effect it offers also great opportunities in the creative product, food and landscape photography.

The lens is part of the Optic Swap System and will fit in many of the Lensbaby lens bodysuits.

Lensbaby with internal aperture

The depth of fields can be adjusted by the internal aperture of the lens. The aperture ring is on the front lens is adjusted manually. It allows apertures between f/2.8 to f/22. The 12 aperture blades close circular, so you get the usual smooth bokeh even with a closed aperture.

Built-in macro setting

The minimum focusing distance of the edge 80 in the normal setting is about one meter. Extending the front element of the lens, it gets a macro lens and the minimum focusing distance is reduced to 43cm.
Please note: While macro setting, the focusing to infinity is not possible, this is only possible in the normal position of the front element.

The appropriate exposure time can be adjusted manually or with aperture priority mode.
