With this lens adapter you can mount Contax/Yashica lenses on FourThirds SLR cameras.

The adapter ring has a focus indicator chip that tells the camera that a lens is attached. You still have to focus and set the aperture by hand but the focus confirmation indicator of the camera is triggered so that the in-focus light of the viewfinder operates correctly. This helps a lot when focussing manually. The chip can be programmed for aperture settings between 1.0 and 9.9. You can set the camera to aperture priority mode to calculate the proper exposure time. Advice: The appropriate aperture value has to be adjusted on the lens by hand.

The lens adapter features a very robust design and therefore is suitable for heavy lenses. The adapter needs to be screwed into the bayonet connection. Due to the precisely fitting workmanship the adapter ring fits smoothly into the bayonet connection. The connection is dust proof.

Application:
Attach the adapter to the lens.
Mount the adapter/lens combination on the camera body.
Switch the camera on and set the desired mode (e.g. aperture priority).
Select the AF mode.
You need to focus by hand. If the subject is in focus, the AF light will flash up.

There are two ways to focus:

1. Press the release button half down and focus manually. As soon as the accurate focus is obtained you will hear a beep sound (only in AF mode) and the viewfinder light flashes. We advice to release the button and press it down again. If the AF light flashes again you can be sure that the sharpest focus is obtained.

2. Focus manually and press the release button half down. If the subject is in focus you will hear a beep sound (only in AF mode) and the AF light flashes.
