Description:
The Dicain SG-I provides a better handling of the camera when you take pictures in portrait format or use a heavy lens. The camera lies better and more safely in your hand. The hand grip has an inbuilt shutter release which is better reachable than the one of the camera when you hold it vertically.
This sub shutter grip has an inbuilt remote cord which is hidden in the base of the grip. It functions the same way as the one of the camera. The shutter button has a two-stage release. In order to focus you have to press the shutter button halfway down, in order to release you have to press it all the way down. Furthermore the shutter button supports taking pictures with time exposure. The shutter button has a shift lock to lock the shutter.
The grip disguises the battery compartment of the camera. That is why a part of the grip can be flapped away to reach the battery compartment for changing the batteries.
The SG-1 has two ears for attaching a handstrap or a neckstrap.
