his memory card adapter allows you to use SDHC, SDXC & UHS-1 memory cards in Sony camcorders of the XDCAM EX series. That saves you a lot of money as SxS memory cards are very expensive.

The recorded memory cards can be readout with the adapter via the ExpressCard slot of the computer or without the adapter via a compliant card reader.
