Semi-Automatic Lens Mount Adapter for Leica R Lenses on Canon EOS
Provides AF-Confirm
Description:
The semi-automatic simulates the camera that an automatic lens is attached. This means you have to focus manually, but the autofocus-function of the camera is activated. The red autofocus light in the view-finder gleams when the image is exactly focussed. This provides more accuracy in focussing for you.
This adapter is handmade and tested before sale in order to assure that the semi-automatic works correctly.
Advice:
Some of the professional cameras, like the Canon 5D, 1D among others, require a pin at the bayonet to be moved. EF-lenses activate this pin to convey the camera that an automatic lenses has been attached to camera body. With these cameras you have to activate the pin by yourself, cause the pin won't be pushed in by the adapter.
You have to proceed this way:
1. Move the pin carefully upwards by the help of a sharp object
2. Fix the pin with a small piece of cardboard
3. Now the pin is active and the semi-automatic of the adapter works.
You have to do this modification with the following cameras: Canon EOS 5D, 1Ds 1Ds (+Mark II +N) and analogue models. Canon EOS 400D, 350D, 300D, 30D, 20D and 10D don't need this modification.
